Jamie Redknapp is backing Tottenham Hotspur to beat Arsenal in a high-scoring north London derby at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs are looking to maintain their title push with victory over Arsene Wenger’s side in the derby after a 1-1 draw between the two clubs at the Emirates Stadium back in November.

Tottenham have won their last six Premier League games to move Mauricio Pochettino’s side to within four points of leaders Chelsea with five games to in the title race.

Indeed, Denmark international Christian Eriksen scored a late winner to secure a 1-0 victory over London rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park mid-week.

Arsenal were 1-0 winners against defending champions Leicester City at The Emirates on Wednesday night thanks to Robert Huth’s own goal in the second half.

Tottenham are 14 points ahead of sixth-placed Arsenal in the race to secure a top-four finish.

Speaking to Sky Sports about Sunday’s north London derby at White Hart Lane, Redknapp said:

“I’m expecting plenty of goals and excitement in this one – and a Tottenham win,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“That would be a good way to sign off the final north London derby at White Hart Lane. But you don’t always get that romantic ending. I remember playing in the final game in front of the Spion Kop at Liverpool and losing 1-0!

“Instead, I’m tipping a Tottenham win because they’re stronger across the pitch and well ahead of their rivals in terms of performance levels this season. Worrying factors for Wenger.”
