Ian Wright is confident that Tottenham Hotspur will secure three points against Bournemouth to keep their pressure on Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Spurs are proving to be Chelsea’s closest challengers for the title after a run of six successive Premier League victories to move to within seven points of the leaders.

Tottenham moved to within four points of Chelsea thanks to their 4-0 win against Watford in the early kick-off last weekend before the Blues eased to a 3-1 win at Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

Spurs will kick off the Premier League again this weekend with a home clash against the Cherries before Chelsea face their former manager Jose Mourinho and Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

While Tottenham faltered under the weight of expectation in the title race last season, former Arsenal striker Wright doesn’t expect the same thing to happen with Spurs against Cherries.

“You know that Tottenham will beat Bournemouth,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
