Antoine Griezmann to Man United transfer to be decided by this – report
Antoine Griezmann will reportedly only consider a transfer to Manchester United if the Red Devils qualify for the Champions League
Antoine Griezmann will only consider opening talks with Manchester United if the Red Devils qualify for next season’s Champions League, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror are reporting that the France international is Jose Mourinho’s top target as the Portuguese coach lines up a spending spree of as much as £300m this summer.
However, the story also claims that Griezmann would only begin to consider a move to Old Trafford once the Red Devils secure their spot in next season’s Champions League.
Griezmann has long been linked with a transfer to Manchester United and a move to Old Trafford would allow him to link up with his France team-mate Paul Pogba.
But Manchester United have failed to qualify for the Champions League in two of the three seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and it remains to be seen if they will secure that target this term.
The Red Devils can book their place in next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League this season, and could also still finish in the top four.
