Pundit reveals exactly what Antonio Conte is like in Chelsea training
Jamie Redknapp lifts the lid on what he saw from Antonio Conte in Chelsea training earlier this season
Jamie Redknapp has lavished praise on Antonio Conte for the turnaround he has masterminded at Chelsea this season.
The Italian manager has had a hugely positive impact at Stamford Bridge since being brought in as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor last summer.
Conte watched his side be crowned Premier League champions on Friday night thanks to their 1-0 win over West Brom and the Blues are also aiming to win the FA Cup this season.
The Blues boss is known for being demanding of his players in training and making sure that they are well-drilled before each game.
And Redknapp has lifted the lid on what Conte was like when he went to watch Chelsea train earlier this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Friday, Redknapp said: “I went to watch them train and I’ve never seen a manager so hands-on.
“He gets in that crouched position and it’s like he’s conducting an orchestra.
“It’s unbelievable how animated he is and how much positive aggression he has. Every single player knows their job.”
Chelsea will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month as they look to complete a domestic double this season.
