Piers Morgan praised Arsenal for a 2-0 win at The Emirates on Sunday but questioned whether Manchester United were interested in winning the Premier League clash.

The Red Devils made the long trip to the English capital on Saturday less than 48 hours after the 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.

Arsenal and Manchester United were handed the initiative in the top-four race after Liverpool played out a goalless draw with Southampton at Anfield in Sunday’s early kick-off.

However, the Red Devils failed to seize their chance to move within a point of Liverpool as Arsenal were 2-0 winners against Jose Mourinho’s side in north London.

Granit Xhaka’s deflected goal broke the deadlock in the 54th minute after his long-range effort looped over Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Welbeck, who moved to Arsenal from Old Trafford in 2014, doubled the home side’s lead with a powerful header to secure three points for the hosts.

While Morgan was pleased with the result, the outspoken Arsenal fan questioned Manchester United’s approach to the Premier League clash.

Morgan wrote: “Good win but United never looked like they cared. #Afc”
