Piers Morgan reacts to Alexis Sanchez’s display for Arsenal v Sunderland
Piers Morgan has his say about Alexis Sanchez after Arsenal's 2-0 win over Sunderland on Tuesday night
Piers Morgan heaped praise on Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean was once again the star of the show for Arsenal on Tuesday night.
The 28-year-old attacker scored both of Arsenal’s goals in the second half as the north London side claimed a 2-0 victory over Sunderland to keep their faint hopes of a top-four finish alive.
The result left Arsenal fifth in the Premier League table and a point behind fourth-placed Liverpool heading into the final round of fixtures this weekend.
Sanchez has been by far Arsenal’s standout performer in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the Gunners this term.
The forward has hit 28 goals and made 16 assists this season for Arsene Wenger’s men.
And Morgan was quick to highlight Sanchez’s contribution after his quick-fire double at The Emirates earned the Gunners all three points on Tuesday night.
Morgan tweeted: “28 goals. 16 assists. Where the hell would we be without @Alexis_Sanchez & how the hell do we keep him? #afc.”
Sanchez will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners take on Everton in their final game of the season on Sunday.
