Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal will make “one or two” top signings in the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman watched his Arsenal side produce an impressive performance as they beat Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final at Wembley to end the campaign on a high.

It has been a difficult season for the Gunners, who ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table and missed out on qualification for next term’s Champions League.

Wenger’s future also continues to be a strong source of speculation, with the Frenchman’s current deal at The Emirates set to expire in the summer.

However, speaking in the immediate aftermath of Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup final win over Chelsea, Wenger spoke of his belief in his players and tipped the Gunners to make at least a couple of quality signings this summer.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Wenger said: “I said last week this team will win the championship [Premier League] with one or two good buys.

“[If we] keep them together, they are in a good way.”
