Ian Wright believes that Arsenal’s main problem is that there is no accountability for when things do not go to plan under Arsene Wenger.

The north London side suffered another blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four this season when they were beaten 2-0 by bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The result continued a miserable run of form for Wenger’s men, who now look likely to miss out on a top-four finish this season, with Arsenal currently sixth in the table.

Wright played under Wenger and says the Frenchman is not the type of character to shout at his players when things are not going well.

But the Arsenal legend feels that there is something seriously wrong at The Emirates this season.

Speaking on BBC Sport’s 606 podcast, Wright said: “There is no accountability at Arsenal.

“You’ve seen in that in the times where Arsenal have let down the fans. They’ve let the fans and manager down in the way they’ve played.

“Arsene Wenger doesn’t like screaming and shouting in the dressing room between players. ”
