Arsene Wenger is planning to stay at Arsenal beyond the summer transfer window – and wants to sign Riyad Mahrez and Ben Gibson this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that Wenger is ready to spend as much as £55m on signing the Premier League duo this summer, a clear indicator that he is planning to stay at The Emirates.

Wenger’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months because his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.

Now, the report is claiming that Wenger is set to stay on at Arsenal and that he has picked Leicester City playmaker Mahrez and Middlesbrough defender Gibson as two of his top transfer targets this summer.

The story also claims that Arsenal have a big shopping list this summer and want to sign a striker, a winger, a central defender, a left-back and a goalkeeper.
