Arsene Wenger plots Arsenal double raid on Real Madrid – report
The Arsenal manager is interested in signing Real Madrid duo Danilo and Karim Benzema in the summer, according to reports
Arsene Wenger is considering a sensational swoop to sign Real Madrid duo Danilo and Karim Benzema in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Don Balon – as quoted by the Daily Star – is reporting that Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid full-back Danilo as a replacement for Barcelona-bound Hector Bellerin at the end of the 2016-17 season.
The same article states that Wenger would be willing to spend in the region of £17.1m on the South American full-back after Danilo failed to secure a regular first-team spot in Zinedine Zidane’s first-team.
The story suggests that the Arsenal boss is interested in signing Real Madrid striker Benzema in a big-money deal to land the France international after being linked with a move for the striker regularly in recent seasons.
Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League table and a point behind Liverpool in the race to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League competition ahead of the final weekend in the English top flight.
