Juan Mata warns Manchester United that they will have to be at their best if they want to beat Celta Vigo on Thursday
Juan Mata has warned Manchester United that they are in for a very stern test when they take on Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday night.
The Red Devils head into the game fresh from the disappointment of their 1-1 draw with Swansea City at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United’s draw with the Swansea left the Red Devils in fifth place in the Premier League table as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
And Red Devils playmaker Mata feels that Manchester United will have to be at their best against he Spanish side on Thursday night.
Writing in his personal blog, Mata said: “First of all we have to visit Celta in the Europa League.
“I can say, without exaggerating, that they are one of the teams that play better football in Spain, and not only this season.
“Being back home will be special, but very difficult at the same time. We must perform at our best in order to beat them.”
Mata was an unused substitute on Sunday afternoon as the Spanish playmaker bids to return to action following his lay-off with a groin injury.
Manchester United take on Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon in their next Premier League game.
