Antonio Conte opens up to Chelsea fans about his future
Antonio Conte insists he is planning to stay at Chelsea for many years to come
Antonio Conte has reassured Chelsea fans that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge for many years after his successful first season at the club.
Conte was drafted in as Chelsea’s new manager last summer after the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December 2015,
The Italian’s impact at Stamford Bridge has been nothing short of remarkable in comparison to Chelsea’s struggles last season, when they ended up 10th and without a trophy following Mourinho’s dismissal.
Chelsea are chasing a domestic double and will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.
There have been rumours linking Conte with Serie A side Inter Milan in recent days.
However, the Italian insisted that he has no plans to quit Stamford Bridge when quizzed about his future at a news conference on Thursday afternoon.
Conte said: “I have a contract with Chelsea for also two more years.
“But it’s logical that, when you start the work in a new club, the will is to continue to work and improve your work for many years. For sure, this is my will.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action with a home clash against Watford on Monday night.
