Thierry Henry sends message to Chelsea fans about Michy Batshuayi
Thierry Henry heaps praise on Michy Batshuayi after Chelsea won the Premier League title on Friday
Thierry Henry has described Michy Batshuayi as an “instinctive” player after he fired Chelsea to the Premier League title on Friday night.
The Belgian striker has found his first-team opportunities to be severely restricted this season but the forward came off the bench to score Chelsea’s goal in their victory at The Hawthorns.
Indeed, Batshuayi has not started a single game in the Premier League this season but has come off the bench 18 times for Antonio Conte’s men.
Henry has been working with Batshuayi in his role in the Belgian coaching set-up.
And the Arsenal legend has given his take on the striker after his role in helping the Blues clinch the title at The Hawthorns.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Henry said: “That is typical Michy. He’s all instinct.
“When we work in front of the goal he’s one of the best, especially with his left foot. He showed that tonight. That goal will go down in history.”
Chelsea will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of the month as they look to end the season with a domestic double.
