Cesar Azpilicueta has thanked Antonio Conte for showing faith in him at Chelsea this season.

The Spanish full-back has earned plenty of praise for his strong performances for the Blues this term and he has started every single one of Chelsea’s 37 Premier League games.

Azpilicueta helped Chelsea win the Premier League title on Friday night as he supplied the cross for Michy Batshuayi’s goal in the 1-0 win over West Brom at The Hawthorns.

And the Spain international is grateful to Conte for showing faith in him at Chelsea this season.

Azpilicueta told Sky Sports after Monday’s 4-3 win over Watford: “You have up and downs in the season. The manager showed great confidence in me.

“I work a lot to be available for the manager. I want to play every game. There’s no way I tell him I don’t want to play.”

The full-back will be hoping to help Chelsea win a domestic double this season following Conte’s appointment at the club last summer.
