David Luiz says he loves working with Antonio Conte at Chelsea because of the Italian’s attention to detail.

Conte’s impact at Stamford Bridge has been nothing short of remarkable following his appointment at the club last summer.

Chelsea are on the verge of winning the Premier League title and could also lift the FA Cup this season when they take on Arsenal at Wembley at the end of the month.

Luiz was brought back to Chelsea by Conte last summer after his two-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian has been a consistent fixture in the Blues’ starting line-up this season.

And the Brazilian defender has explained just why he loves playing for Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Luiz said: “In this system we work a lot in a tactical way and he gives me a lot of advice about how to read the game because in my position you need to be the cover for everybody, for the defence, the midfielders and the wingers, it’s a tactical position.

“I love working with him. He works on the details and he’s helped me a lot so it’s very good to work with him.”

Chelsea’s dramatic upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th and without a trophy following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2015.
