Ian Wright has admitted that he has been hugely impressed by the impact Antonio Conte has had at Chelsea this season.

The Italian manager has earned plenty of praise for the impact he has made at Stamford Bridge following his appointment as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor last summer.

Conte has steered his side to within just two wins of lifting the Premier League title, and the Blues can also win the FA Cup if they beat Arsenal in the final at Wembley later this month.

Chelsea’s turnaround under Conte has been nothing short of remarkable when you consider that the Blues slumped to a tenth-placed finish and ended up without a trophy last term.

And Arsenal legend Wright says he has been incredibly impressed by what he has seen from Conte this season.

Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show, Wright said: “I’ve been very impressed by him.

“It all changed for him at Arsenal when he changed his system from a four to a three. He changed it at the right time and they’ve not looked back since, they’ve been fantastic, individually and in the system.”
