Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: This is what sets Chelsea apart
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Chelsea's togetherness is what has given them the edge this season
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes that Chelsea’s team play is what sets them apart from their Premier League title rivals this season.
The west London side are on the verge of winning the title in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the Blues.
Conte has masterminded a dramatic turnaround at Stamford Bridge following the Blues disastrous tenth-placed finish last season as they ended up without a trophy.
Chelsea could even win a domestic double this season, with Conte’s men set to take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.
And former Chelsea star Hasselbaink believes that it is Chelsea’s togetherness which has given them an edge over their rivals this season.
Hasselbaink is quoted as saying by the Daily Star: “Chelsea are playing as a team and that’s the most important thing.
“They defend together and attack together. They’re very well organised and always look in control.”
Chelsea finished 10th and without a trophy last season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December 2015.
They had previously won the Premier League and EFL Cup under the Portuguese coach.
