Antonio Conte has instructed Chelsea’s chiefs to make securing a deal for Alvaro Morata their top transfer priority this summer.

The Sun is reporting that Conte wants to bring the Spain forward to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid as he looks to bolster his strike-force ahead of next season.

The same report states that Morata is keen to leave Real Madrid this summer in search of regular playing time ahead of next year’s World Cup in Russia.

Conte knows Morata well from their time together at Juventus before the striker rejoined Real Madrid last summer.

The Spain international has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at The Bernabeu since his return to los Blancos.

The story says Conte has made Morata his “prime” summer transfer target as the Italian manager prepares his side for a return to the Champions League for next season.
