Chelsea star responds to Man United transfer rumours
Willian insists that he is fully committed to Chelsea despite reports linking him with Manchester United
Willian has insisted that he remains fully committed to Chelsea despite the reports linking him with a possible summer transfer to Manchester United.
There have been reports in the British media in recent weeks that Jose Mourinho could be pondering a move to bring the Brazilian attacker to Old Trafford this season.
Willian has found his first-team opportunities at Chelsea to be somewhat restricted this season.
The Brazilian has only started 13 games in the Premier League for Antonio Conte’s men but has still scored seven goals and made one assist.
However, the 28-year-old, who is under contract at Chelsea until 2020, insists that he is happy at Stamford Bridge.
Willian is quoted as saying by Metro: “My future is here with Chelsea. I have a contract until 2020 and I’m happy.
“I know sometimes players always want to play but I understand why I’m not playing much.”
Chelsea are aiming to win a domestic double this season and will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.
The Blues were crowned Premier League champions on Friday night when they beat West Brom 1-0 at The Hawthorns.
