Ian Wright sends warning to Chelsea about Arsenal ahead of FA Cup final
Ian Wright warns Chelsea that Arsenal are starting to find form ahead of the FA Cup final at Wembley
Ian Wright has warned Chelsea that Arsenal are beginning to find some form – just in time for the FA Cup final.
The north London side are set to take on their local rivals at Wembley at the end of the month as the Gunners look to end a disappointing season on a high by winning the FA Cup for the third time in four years.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are aiming to complete a domestic double, with Antonio Conte’s side on the brink of winning the Premier League title.
Arsenal have been in improved form in recent weeks and followed up their 2-0 win over Manchester United with a 2-0 win at Southampton on Wednesday night.
And Wright has admitted that he is relieved to see the Gunners finding some form before the crunch showdown with Chelsea at Wembley.
Speaking on BBC Sport’s 606 podcast, Wright said: “I am optimistic about the Chelsea game.
“You can’t go into a game thinking you’re going to lose it. With Arsenal’s patchy form, of course Chelsea will be favourites.
“If Arsenal play like this, Chelsea will know Arsenal have players they’ve got to fear.”
Arsenal take on Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday, while Chelsea can clinch the title with victory at West Brom on Friday night.
