Eden Hazard sends message to Chelsea fans after title triumph
Eden Hazard reveals his delight at helping Chelsea win the Premier League title under Antonio Conte
Eden Hazard has revealed his delight at helping Chelsea win the Premier League title on Friday night with a 1-0 win at West Brom.
The west London side secured the title thanks to a scrappy win as Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to fire home a winner late on at The Hawthorns.
The result secured the title for Antonio Conte in the Italian’s first season in charge at Stamford Bridge following his appointment last summer.
Hazard has played a key role in helping Chelsea win the title this season, with the Belgium international having scored 15 goals and made five assists in the top flight.
And the 26-year-old was understandably delighted to help Chelsea win their second title in three seasons on Friday night.
Hazard told Sky Sports at The Hawthorns: “It’s amazing to celebrate something with the fans, especially when the game was so difficult.
“Through the whole season we deserved it a lot and today we are just very happy.”
Chelsea take on Watford in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The Blues are chasing a domestic double this season and will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of the month.
