Latest update on Eden Hazard’s Chelsea future revealed by report
Real Madrid are close to giving up in their pursuit of signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer, say reports
Real Madrid are close to giving up in their pursuit of Eden Hazard ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
Diario Gol is reporting that the Spanish giants have been put off by Chelsea’s huge asking price of £60m for the attacker, as well as the player’s large wage demands.
The same story claims that Chelsea have already moved into “action” with regards to offering Hazard a new deal and making him the highest-paid player at the Stamford Bridge club.
The report says that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is unwilling to part with such a large transfer fee for the signing of Hazard this summer.
Hazard has been one of Chelsea’s top performers this season and his 15 goals and five assists have helped the Blues win the Premier League title.
The Belgium international will be hoping to feature when the west London side take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of the month as they chase a domestic double.
