Gary Neville: This is Man United’s biggest problem
The Manchester United legend believes fatigue is the biggest problem affecting Jose Mourinho's squad
Gary Neville admits Manchester United look more tired by the game ahead of Sunday’s clash against Arsenal.
The Red Devils have drawn their last two Premier League games following stalemates with Manchester City and Swansea City in the past couple of weeks.
Manchester United battled to a 1-0 win against La Liga side Celta Vigo on Thursday night thanks to Marcus Rashford’s stunning free-kick.
However, Jose Mourinho lost the England teenager and Manchester United veteran Ashley Young to injury in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
The Red Devils have less than 48 hours to recover before Manchester United take on top-six rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the Gary Neville podcast about Manchester United’s fatigue ahead of their Premier League clash in the English capital, Neville said:
“At the moment, injuries are a big problem and the team is looking more tired by the day.
“I watched the game on a screen at Goodison Park and thought Swansea deserved a point. You need to be more ruthless and clinical against the weaker terms. It comes down to having more quality in the final third.”
Manchester United are in fifth place in the Premier League table and four points behind Liverpool in the race to secure a top-four finish.
