Alexis Sanchez lifts the lid on his Arsenal ambitions
The Arsenal striker opens up about his desire to win the Champions League and the Premier League with the Gunners
Alexis Sanchez has spoken of his desire to win the Champions League and the Premier League at Arsenal.
The Chile international moved to Arsenal in a £35m deal from La Liga giants Barcelona in the 2014 summer transfer window.
Sanchez won the FA Cup trophy in his first season at The Emirates after a 4-0 win against Aston Villa at Wembley.
However, Arsene Wenger’s side haven’t come close to winning the Premier League due to their inconsistent performances.
Arsenal have continued their record of crashing out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage in the past seven seasons.
The Gunners suffered an embarrassing 10-2 loss to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to heap further pressure on Wenger.
Sanchez’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the 2017-18 season which has prompted transfer speculation surrounding the South American’s future.
Speaking to Sky Sports about his ambitions at Arsenal, Sanchez outlined his desire to win the Champions League and the Premier League with the north London club.
“I want to win the Champions League which is every footballer’s dream. I want to win the Premier League because I play here,” Sanchez told Sky Sports.
“Players who want success in football and people who want to achieve greatness in life get angry when it’s not going well and demand more from themselves.”
