Roy Keane has claimed that even a weakened Manchester United team would be capable of beating Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.

Arsenal head into their crunch showdown with Manchester United at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon looking to return to winning ways after their 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane last weekend.

That result dealt a fresh blow to the Gunners’ hopes of finishing in the top four this season and left Arsene Wenger’s men sixth in the table.

Manchester United are also bidding to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after the frustration of their 1-1 draw with Swansea City last weekend.

There have been suggestions that Jose Mourinho could field a weakened side against Arsenal on Sunday as the Portuguese coach prioritises winning the Europa League over battling for a top-four finish.

However, former Manchester United star Keane feels that Manchester United would still beat Arsenal even if Mourinho did field a weakened team.

Keane is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “Well even a weak team would probably still beat Arsenal, they can afford to do that.”
