Forward: Mesut Ozil should leave Arsenal, he’d enjoy life at PSG
Julian Draxler believes Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil would enjoy life at PSG
Julian Draxler has urged Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal and move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The Germany international has endured a mixed season at the Emirates Stadium as Ozil struggled like most of his Arsenal team-mates.
Ozil has only scored eight times and has made a mere eight assists in 32 appearances in the Premier League in the 2016-17 season.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a potential summer move after Ozil failed to agree a new contract with Arsenal earlier this season.
The German playmaker has a little over 12 months remaining on his Arsenal contract and the midfielder has no plans to re-open negotiations with the Gunners until the end of the campaign.
Draxler, who was regularly linked with a move to Arsenal over the past couple of season, moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.
Speaking to BBC World Service about whether he would like to have Ozil at PSG, Germany forward Draxler said:
“I would love to play with him every day.
“For me, he’s a great player. I enjoy to play with him for every training, every match with the German national team.”
Asked whether he thought Ozil would complete move to PSG, Draxler added:
“Yes, I think he’s a great player. He would help every team in the world and I think he would enjoy the life here and even to play for PSG.”
