Arsene Wenger remained typically coy when asked if there was any truth to reports suggesting that Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Sead Kolasinac from Schalke this summer.

The north London side have been heavily linked with a move to sign the left-back in recent days amid claims that Kolasinac is set to join the Gunners on a free transfer in July after his contract with Schalke expires.

However, in typical fashion, Wenger gave little away when asked about the rumours after Arsenal’s win over Sunderland in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Asked if a deal was in place to sign Kolasinac, Wenger is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “No.

“We have nothing to say with transfers at the moment.”

Arsenal are still hoping to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season as they head into the final found of games in fifth place in the table and a point behind Liverpool.
