Insider claims Arsenal’s have made first summer signing: Medical passed and five-year deal
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Sead Kolasinac this summer, according to insider Lee Price
Arsenal have completed the signing of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer, according to German football expert Lee Price.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the left-back in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger begins to turn his attentions towards the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old defender is out of contract at the end of the season and speaking to the Daily Express, Price has claimed that Arsenal have already completed a deal to sign Kolasinic on a free transfer this summer.
The Bundesliga insider also claims that Kolasinic has already passed a medical and will sign a five-year contract at The Emirates, with the option to extend for a further year.
Price told the Daily Express: “Though Wenger’s denied the deal is done, I’ve heard it is – medical and all.
“Word is he’s agreed a five-year-deal with the option of a sixth.
“It’s the kind of smart signing that Arsenal haven’t made for years.
“Educated in the German youth system, Kolasinac is flexible enough to play in various positions, and can slot in to midfield, too.
“Don’t expect a glut of goals and assists from him – though he will chip in.
“He’ll instead offer a solid option, technically gifted enough to join in with build-up play, with the positional sense to work backwards as well as forwards.”
Arsenal are likely to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as the north London side look to improve their form in the Premier League.
