Cesc Fabregas makes emotional admission ahead of Arsenal v Chelsea
The Chelsea midfielder admits it will be emotional facing Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month
Cesc Fabregas has admitted that it will be emotional experience when Chelsea take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final.
The former Gunners captain will face Arsene Wenger’s side in the FA Cup showpiece on Saturday 27 May at Wembley.
Chelsea have the chance to win the FA Cup and Premier League double in their first season under Antonio Conte.
The west London side won the top-flight crown on Friday night thanks to a 1-0 win against West Brom on Friday night.
Chelsea secured the Premier League crown thanks to Michy Batshuayi’s 82nd-minute winner at The Hawthorns.
Fabregas won the FA Cup at Wembley in 2005 when Arsenal beat Manchester United on penalties.
Speaking to the Daily Express about the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month, Fabregas said: “It will be emotional [but] I have to put those feelings aside. You have to be professional.
“Of course it means a lot to me, it’s not an ordinary game for me.”
Chelsea appointed Conte as their manager after interim boss Guus Hiddink led the west London side to a tenth-place finish last term.
The Blues secured their return to the Champions League thanks their title win.
