Ian Wright opens up about Eden Hazard’s Chelsea future
Ian Wright says he would probable swap Chelsea for Real Madrid if he were in Eden Hazard's shoes
Ian Wright has admitted that he would probably leave Chelsea to join Real Madrid this summer if he were in the Belgian’s shoes.
The 26-year-old playmaker has been in superb form for Chelsea this term and his 15 goals in the Premier League have helped the Blues establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this season.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but there is yet to be any official confirmation of a possible transfer.
There is bound to be fresh speculation linking Hazard with a move to Spain in the coming weeks as the transfer window draws ever nearer.
And former Arsenal star Wright admits that he would be tempted to move to Real Madrid if he were in the Belgian’s shoes.
Wright told BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show: “It all comes down to Eden Hazard and his ambitions.
“We’re talking about Real Madrid, and you look at what Real Madrid are doing – they’re unbelievable right now. He could have the chance to go and play with one of the greatest ever in Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I’d probably go simply because I’d want to win the Champions League.
“Yes, there’s a good chance that if he stayed at Chelsea for the next few years he’d have a good chance of doing it. But you have to say, at Real Madrid he’ll have a better chance – if they want him.”
Hazard will be expecting to feature when Chelsea take on Middlesbrough in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
