Gary Neville believes that Antonio Conte has won over Chelsea fans this season with his passion on the sidelines.

The Italian’s impact at Stamford Bridge this term has been nothing short of remarkable following his appointment as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor last summer.

Conte has led Chelsea to within one victory of winning the Premier League title this season, with the Blues set to be crowned champions if they beat West Brom at The Hawthorns on Friday night.

It is all in stark contrast to Chelsea’s struggles last term, when they ended up in 10th place and without a trophy.

And former Manchester United defender Neville feels that Blues fans have warmed to the Italian manager because of his passionate displays on the touchline.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Neville said: “Every fan wants to see passion from players and coaches.

“They want to see you care when they lose. It matters to you when they win. Share the experience with the fans. He does that. He is always up and down on the touchline.”
