Jamie Redknapp believes that the main difference between Chelsea and Tottenham in the Premier League title race this season has been away form.

Spurs suffered a potentially damaging blow to their hopes of catching Chelsea in the race for the title on Friday night when they were beaten 1-0 by West Ham United at the London Stadium.

That result has left Chelsea needing just two wins from their remaining four games to wrap up the title in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at the club.

Former Tottenham midfielder Redknapp feels that Spurs have struggled on the road this season and that has ultimately proved to be their downfall in the title race.

Redknapp said on Sky Sports: “Their away form has cost them.

“They’ve only won seven games on the road this season. That’s the difference between Chelsea and Tottenham.

“When you look back at the end of the season, yes people will point to this and Chelsea last year, but they just weren’t good enough.”
