Jamie Carragher sends message to Chelsea fans about N’Golo Kante
Jamie Carragher singles out N'Golo Kante for special praise after his big contribution in helping Chelsea win the title
Jamie Carragher has singled N’Golo Kante out for special praise for his huge contribution in helping Chelsea win the Premier League title this season.
The French midfielder has been in stunning form for the Blues and his consistent displays in midfield have helped the west London club be crowned champions in his first season at the club.
Kante earned plenty of new admirers last season after helping Leicester City to win the title before moving to Stamford Bridge last summer.
And the midfielder has continued his fine displays this term as he chases a domestic double in Antonio Conte’s first season at Stamford Bridge.
Former Liverpool star Carragher has been hugely impressed by Kante’s contribution this season.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Carragher said: “Chelsea’s little general was named the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year to complete an astonishing 12 months for the France midfielder.
“He was also crowned the season’s best performer by the PFA.
“Essentially, Kante is in the Chelsea team to seek and destroy, but there is so much more to his game than that, as he showed with his performance and goal against Manchester United in their FA Cup quarter-final.”
Chelsea take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month as they look to end the season with two major trophies.
