Pedro Rodriguez has admitted that his brilliant goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday was probably his best strike for the west London club.

The Spanish attacker scored a sublime left-footed shot to give his side the lead in the second half after a goalless first half at Goodison Park.

Goals from Gary Cahill and Willian then followed as Chelsea took a big step towards winning the title with a crucial victory on Merseyside.

And Pedro feels that his strike against the Toffees was probably his best-ever effort in a Chelsea shirt.

Speaking to Chelsea TV, Pedro said: “I’m happy to have scored a goal and for the three points.

“The three points were very important for the team to continue to be at the top of the league.

“It was good to score again and help the team and, for me, it was an amazing goal.

“Probably it’s the best [in a Chelsea shirt] because it was nice – on my left foot.”
