Victor Moses sends message to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
Victor Moses insists he doesn't mind which position he plays in as long as he can help his Chelsea team-mates
Victor Moses has told Antonio Conte that he doesn’t mind which position he plays in as long as he is getting regular football at Chelsea.
The Nigerian has been in fine form for the Blues this season since Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer and has earned plenty of praise for his solid displays.
Moses has been deployed in the right wing-back position in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation for Chelsea this season and has been one of the Blues’ most consistent performers.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals and made two assists in 33 Premier League games for Conte’s men so far this term.
However, Moses insists that he would be happy to play anywhere as long as he is featuring regularly.
To be honest I just want to play football, it doesn’t matter which position, I just want to help the team,” Moses told Chelsea’s website.
“It was the Hull game where it started, I really enjoyed it and afterwards I kept watching videos to make sure I was in the right place.
“It’s a big position and you need a lot of stamina to play there. There’s a big responsibility because it’s not a position where you can lose a lot of balls, you have to be concentrated for every minute.
“I have to make sure I help my team-mates when I go forward and defend as well.”
Moses will be hoping to start for Chelsea when the Blues take on West Bromwich Albion on Friday night knowing that victory would clinch them the Premier League title.
