Victor Moses has insisted that he always felt he would be able to prove himself at a big club like Chelsea.

The Nigerian has been given his chance to shine at Chelsea by new manager Antonio Conte this season and he has been a regular fixture in the Blues’ starting line-up.

He has been deployed at right wing-back for most of the season and has scored three goals and made two assists in 33 Premier League appearances this term.

Moses has earned praise for being one of Chelsea’s top performers this season and will be hoping to help the Blues clinch the title this week.

And the Nigerian has explained why he always felt he would be a success at Stamford Bridge, thinking Conte for showing faith in him.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Moses said: “I’ve always believed in the ability I have.

“I’ve always felt I had the ability to play for a big club like Chelsea and I’ve proved that. We have a new manager here who is willing to give everybody an opportunity.

“He gave me the opportunity and I haven’t looked back. I’m enjoying my football right now and I just want to keep on enjoying it until the end of the season.”
