Daniel Sturridge has insisted that he has “no worries” about his Liverpool future as he gave a clear indicator that he plans to stay at Anfield beyond the summer.

The striker has found his first-team opportunities at Anfield this season to be somewhat restricted due to form and fitness issues.

Indeed, Sturridge has only started six Premier League games for Jurgen Klopp’s team but was on target as he helped to fire Liverpool to a 4-0 win over West Ham on Sunday.

That result kept alive Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the top four next season and the Reds will secure Champions League qualification if they beat Middlesbrough at Anfield next weekend.

Sturridge’s lack of playing time this season is bound to prompt speculation linking him with a possible move away from Anfield.

However, the England international has insisted that he is expecting to stay at Liverpool beyond the summer transfer window.

Sturridge told Sky Sports on Sunday: “I don’t have any worries about next season.

“I have a good relationship with the manager and the fans have been brilliant.
