Michael Owen: Why this player will score for Liverpool v Southampton

Michael Owen is tipping Adam Lallana to fire Liverpool past Southampton in the Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds head into the game looking to take a step closer towards Champions League qualification in Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge.
Liverpool are currently third in the table after their 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday night.
Former Liverpool striker Owen was impressed by Lallana’s display against the Hornets and is backing the England midfielder to fire the Reds to victory over Southampton this weekend.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Liverpool are without a win or a goal in three previous games against the Saints this term including losing both League Cup semi-finals to the only goal of the game.
“I thought Adam Lallana looked sharp when he came on for Philippe Coutinho at Vicarage Road on Monday and the England midfielder will be fresher than most against his old club.
“The noises coming out of Anfield suggest Coutinho is expected to have recovered from his dead leg in time for Sunday’s game and I expect to see the Reds maintain their push for a coveted Champions League spot.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation is Adam Lallana to score at anytime at 19/10.”
Liverpool, who have won six of their last 10 games, are aiming to secure qualification for next season’s Champions League after missing out last term when they ended up in eighth place and without a trophy.
Klopp was brought in as Brendan Rodger’s permanent successor at Anfield following the Northern Irishman’s sacking back in October 2015.
