Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to make shock Chelsea transfer – report
The Liverpool manager is lining up a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the summer ahead of Manchester United, according to reports
Liverpool are interested in signing Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea in the summer, according to reports in England.
The Daily Star are reporting that Liverpool want to sign the Spain international at the end of the 2016-17 season as Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
The same article states that Liverpool will do battle with Manchester United for the creative midfielder as Jose Mourinho looks to sign his former midfielder to help his Old Trafford remodel.
Fabregas has been limited to appearances from the bench throughout much of Antonio Conte’s first season in charge of the west London outfit.
The 29-year-old has still managed to score four goals and make nine assists in 25 games in the Premier League, which includes 15 substitute appearances.
Fabregas moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in a £27m deal in the 2013 summer transfer window under Mourinho.
The Spain midfielder previously captained Arsenal before a return to his boyhood club in 2011.
