Ander Herrera says the best is yet to come from him following his impressive form for Manchester United in recent weeks.

The Spanish midfielder has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Red Devils of late and has been a regular fixture in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up at Old Trafford.

Herrera is a firm favourite amongst Manchester United fans and the midfielder will be hoping to still play a key role between now and the end of the season.

And the midfielder feels like he is in top form – but claims that the best is yet to come.

Speaking to Onda Cero, Herrera said: “I hope there will be better times in the future, too, but I think it’s the best time of my career.

“I’m more consistent, I feel an important member in the team. I know the coach considers me an important player. I’m enjoying myself and I feel loved.”

Herrera will be expecting to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-final first leg in Spain on Thursday night.

Manchester United then take on Arsenal at The Emirates as they look to get their top-four campaign back on track in the Premier League.
