Former defender Neville believes Manchester United have a lot of work to do after a disappointing Premier League campaign under Mourinho.
“Spurs are showing a level Manchester United need to be at and beyond, considering they haven’t won the league especially with the energy and the passing,” Neville told Sky Sports.
Manchester United were 3-2 winners against Southampton in the EFL Cup final at Wembley back in February.
The Red Devils will take on Eredivisie giants Ajax in the Europa League showpiece at Stockholm on Wednesday 24 May.
