Matt Le Tissier predicts where Arsenal, Man United will finish
Matt Le Tissier doesn't expect Arsenal and Manchester United to finish in the top four
Matt Le Tissier has ruled out Arsenal and Manchester United finishing in the top four.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Swansea City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United are in fifth place and four points behind Liverpool, although Jose Mourinho’s side have played one game less than the Reds.
Arsenal, on the other hand, lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon after goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
The Gunners are a staggering nine points Jurgen Klopp’s side having played two games less than the Merseyside club.
Southampton legend Le Tissier believes a top-four finish is out of Arsenal and Manchester United’s grasp in the 2016-17 season.
“Manchester City and Liverpool both have favourable fixtures but the Reds struggle more often against those sort of sides so I’m going for City to get third [ahead of Liverpool in fourth],” Le Tissier told Sky Sports.
Liverpool and Manchester City are in pole position to finish in the Premier League’s top four this season with less than a month to go.
Manchester United can still qualify for the Champions League if Jose Mourinho’s men lift the Europa League trophy this term.
