Ryan Giggs tells Man United to sign Arsenal striker this summer
Ryan Giggs believes that Manchester United should consider a transfer bid to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal
Ryan Giggs believes that Jose Mourinho should make an ambitious transfer swoop to sign Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United this summer.
The Chile international has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his arrival at Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
Sanchez’s future at Arsenal has been a source of speculation because his current deal at The Emirates is due to expire in the summer of 2018.
Manchester United are bound to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of his second season in charge.
And Giggs believes that Sanchez would be a great signing for Manchester United this summer.
Giggs is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “[He’s] a brilliant player. His work rate, the effect he has on his team-mates, a winner.
“He just looks how South Americans are, tough aren’t they?”
Asked if he could see Sanchez at United, Giggs added: “Yeah. Jose Mourinho bought [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic because he is a winner.
“He’d won everywhere he’d gone. Not only the effect on the pitch but off the pitch as well.
“You can just feel that Sanchez would give his team-mates a lift.”
Manchester United are aiming to win the Europa League as their route into the Champions League after they missed out on a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
