Man United could make 24-year-old striker their first summer signing – report
Manchester United have already made contact with Alvaro Morata's camp about the possibility of signing the Spain striker this summer, say reports
Manchester United have made an initial approach to sign Alvaro Morata this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Red Devils have made contact with Morata’s camp about a possible move to bring the 24-year-old forward to Old Trafford this summer.
However, it quotes a source as saying that it is still “early days” in the Red Devils’ reported pursuit of the Spain international.
Jose Mourinho gave Morata his first-team debut when he was in charge at Real Madrid back in 2010.
The same report says Manchester United want to sign at least one striker this summer as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad.
Morata has found his first team opportunities at the Bernabeu to be limited this season, with the striker having only 15 starts in La Liga for the Spanish side this term.
Manchester United are currently preparing for their Premier League showdown with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
