Graham Hunter has poured cold water on talk of Antoine Griezmann leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United at the end of the season.
Indeed, the Red Devils were reported to be preparing a big-money offer to sign the highly-rated Atletico forward.
Griezmann was unable to help Atletico avoid a 3-0 loss to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old has scored 16 times and has made seven assists in 33 appearances in La Liga in the 2016-17 season.
Speaking to Irish radio station Newstalk, La Liga expert Hunter has rubbished reports linking Griezmann with a move to Manchester United.
“As things stand, Atletico Madrid don’t want to sell. As things stand, Antoine Griezmann doesn’t want to leave,” Hunter said.
“In fact, he was getting so angry about being asked about it, he was walking out of interviews.”
The France forward netted five goals and has made two assists in 11 Champions League games in the current campaign.
Manchester United in fifth place in the Premier League table and four points behind third-placed Liverpool.
