Ian Wright sends message to Man United about signing Tottenham star
Ian Wright believes Tottenham would consider selling Kyle Walker if Man United offer £40m this summer
Ian Wright believes Tottenham Hotspur would consider selling Kyle Walker if Spurs received an offer in the region of £40m.
The England international has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Walker has been out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino in recent weeks as the Tottenham manager selected Kieran Trippier ahead of the England star.
Tottenham have been Chelsea’s closest challengers in the title race this season after Spurs ran Leicester City close last term before ending up in third spot.
Speaking to the Sun Goals podcast about whether Tottenham would consider selling Walker at the end of the 2016-17 season, Wright said: “If you’re were going to sell one player and get £40-50m, Kyle Walker would be the one player that I would let go.”
Walker has made five assists in 30 games in the Premier League this season after establishing himself as one of the division’s most-exciting full-backs.
Tottenham lost 1-0 to West Ham United on Friday night to all but bring to an end their title challenge ahead of Chelsea’s home clash against Middlesbrough on Monday night.
