Dimitar Berbatov offers advice to Kylian Mbappe, Man United fans won’t be happy
The former Manchester United striker believes Kylian Mbappe should stay at Monaco for another season
Dimitar Berbatov believes reported Manchester United target Kylian Mbappe should stay at AS Monaco for another season.
The teenager has been linked with a big-money move to a host of Europe’s top clubs this summer following a breakthrough campaign at Monaco.
Manchester United are thought to be heading interest from the Premier League in the exciting France international ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with a move to sign Mbappe but the Premier League clubs will more than likely face competition from Real Madrid.
Mbappe has scored six goals in nine appearances in his first season in the Champions League to help Monaco to reach the semi-finals of the competition.
The France teenager has also netted 14 times in 26 games in Ligue 1 to help Monaco usurp Paris Saint-Germain in the title race.
Speaking to BT Sport about Mbappe’s future at Monaco and whether the striker should leave the French club this summer, Berbatov said:
“It probably is best to stay for another year and develop,” Berbatov said.
“He’s gonna play, if not every game, every other game, he’s gonna have time to shine even more.”
