Jose Mourinho wants to bring Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to Manchester United this summer, say reports
Jose Mourinho is planning a summer transfer bid for Manchester United to try and sign Sergio Aguero from rivals Manchester City, according to reports.
The Sun are reporting that Manchester United are ready to make an audacious swoop to bring Aguero to Old Trafford this summer as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Manchester United are believed to be on the looking for a number of new signings as Mourinho gears up for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
And the report in the British newspaper says Mourinho is ready to test Manchester City’s resolve with a controversial bid for the Argentina international, who is valued at £55m.
The same story says Mourinho has identified Aguero as a summer target because the striker is viewed as surplus to requirements at Manchester City by Pep Guardiola.
The report also states that Mourinho remains keen on bringing Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United take on Celta Vigo in the return leg of their Europa League semi-final tie at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
