Thierry Henry says it is vital that Tottenham Hotspur keep Mauricio Pochettino to ensure their best players remain at White Hart Lane.

Spurs eased to a 2-0 win against Manchester United in their last-ever Premier League game at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Victor Wanyama broke the deadlock in the sixth minute with a powerful header after Ben Davies’s superb cross teed up the defensive midfielder.

Spurs striker Harry Kane doubled the home side’s lead in the second half with a deft finish to secure three points for the Lilywhites.

Dele Alli, Kane and Christian Eriksen have all been influential in helping Tottenham to secure a second place finish for the first time in the Premier League.

However, the Tottenham trio have all been the subject of transfer speculation ahead of the summer window.

Speaking to Sky Sports about the biggest challenge facing Tottenham over the coming months and seasons, former Arsenal striker Henry said:

“The one of the most important things that we didn’t mention too much is Mauricio Pochettino.

“He is the guy who can keep them all here.

“I sense that Tottenham players want to be with him more than anything else.

“If he has that power and he can keep them at the club, that is going to be vital.”
