Jurgen Klopp has told Liverpool fans not to worry about Emre Can’s future at the club as he confirmed that the Reds are still in talks with the midfielder about a new deal.

Can’s current Liverpool contract is due to expire in the summer of 2018 and the German is yet to sign a new deal with the Anfield club.

The midfielder was the star of the show last Monday as his spectacular bicycle kick handed Liverpool a 1-0 win at Watford in the Premier League.

Klopp is a huge admirer of Can and has reassured Liverpool fans that the Reds are in talks about handing him a new deal.

“It’s no secret how much I like Emre,” said Klopp, speaking at his pre-match news conference. “He likes the club. We’re in talks. There is no pressure, all is good.

“He’s able to train without issues now and that helps the situation. The biggest improvement has been with his bicycle kicks!”
